Free speech in America is not really free. I could go in many directions but teachers have been fired for freely speaking out on an issue; the Dixie Chicks were ostracized when they criticized Bush, a CIA agent was outed because her husband criticized the Bush administration. Free speech in America is not free; you pay a price for speaking out especially now. Anyone who attacks Bush pays a price for doing so. As for broadcasting, I dont have any information on that.

Truthfully, there is no such thing as free speech. Yes it's true, you can say whatever it is that you want and you can shout it from the rooftops, but there may be consequences to what you say.

"Free speech" isn't free. Those of us who are or were in the military know it. The Declaration of Independence and Constitution don't guarantee you free speech or any other rights, those that defend this country do. It's a shame how many people don't realize that.

It is free to the point that a free society can exist to allow free speech. If the society dies so dies the freedom.

And Public broadcasting recognizes that they can not be truly free and only air educational programming.

There are limits to free speech.
Supposedly you're able to say whatever it is that you want under a couple conditions:

You can't bad talk someone, also known as slander.
And you can't scream things like fire in a public place.

Free speech is non-existant. Or you could say it is relative to the consequences you are willing to suffer for trying to excercise it.

it's free until you'll not disturb anybody with things that are not real;
and it's free if you live in a Democratic country...because in a Communism country whatever you wanna say...we will find you in prison next day.

Pretty free, but of course we're allways doing what we're programmed to do and so- like where did we get the ideas to speak those 'free' words? Like were they our own idea or are we just doing what we're programmed to do and think?
