ok more seriously...you, we, us here in the states don't really know what it is to be terrorized, its not really worth spending alot of time worrying about it, we are and have historically proven to be more safe than in danger. people in other countries live everyday with bombs going off all around them and they manage.
and even though it doesn't concern "terrorists" might i suggest several viewings of the movie, "Dr. Strangelove" it can't feelings of panic any worse, rocks as a movie, and just might help.

Stop listening to the continuous spins and realize how unlikely it it that you are going to be harmed by a 'terrorist', in Afghanistan they are living in caves, the Arabic death toll in Iraq is over 30,000. The terrorist there are use make -shift weapons on our troops.
Threats come from every direction and while I think our Government should keep us informed, I do not agree to the policy of terrorizing the citizenry with continual haranguing. It's called propaganda and is better suited to small time dictators. This terror tactic has been a tool since 9/11, this tactic was used to embroil us in a useless and cruel war. Panic renders you useless and immobile. Try to rise above it.

By remembering that it always has been out there.
What we call terrorists used to be called names like "bandits", "pirates" and the "barbarian horde". The names have changed, and so have the available weapons, but the threat has always been there.
Yes, civilizations sometimes fall. It happens. But as a species, we're still here. Even a half-dozen nuclear bombs killing millions of people isn't going to change that.
So at worst, the vast majority of the population is going to survive. Your odds of being killed by a terrorist are roughly equal to the odds of being killed in a natural disaster (hurricane, tornado, earthquake, wildfire, etc). Or being killed in a car crash. Or being murdered by a serial killer. Actually, all of those are much more likely to happen to us (at least in Europe or American) than being killed by a terrorist attack.
Yes, it's tragic and senseless for those who do lose their lives, or who lose loved ones to such disasters. But we don't panic every time we see a car drive by. Or every time it rains. We recognize that those threats are there, and we do what we can to minimize them.
There will always be terrorists and criminals. At least as long as there is hatred and fear in the world. Living in terror and panic, sacrificing our liberties to cower like rabbits, surrendering the freedoms this country was founded on in the name of security -- these will not make the threat go away.
In fact, giving in to panic and fear and terror, letting go of our belief in the greater good, these are the goals of the terrorists. They want us to be afraid. They want us to close our doors and windows, to hide under the bed, to allow the police to break into our homes and private lives so we have no liberty or happiness. This is what they want to accomplish -- us living in fear.
The threat is never going to go away. The only thing we can control is how we choose to live in response to it.

Let our military kick some serious *** where our enemies are and they'll take care of the threat. When I say let them, I mean get the reporters out of the combat zone so the troops won't be afraid to use aggressive tactics to get information. We'd have about every terrorist over there if the reporters didn't make every move our military did as being under-planned and ineffective.

The chance of you ever being attacked by a terrorist is very remote. Sometimes I wonder why people get up in the morning and ever get out of bed. Stop living in fear...
Stop buying all the hype the govt and media feeds you, live life in the now....Don't worry about tomorrow, you have no control over it, so why worry???

How much do you really think about that?
Maybe once a month, in passing?
Take in a movie. Superman is mind candy, and I hear Lake House is ok.
Will, who that you know personally has ever been dragged behind a vehicle or left hanging from a tree?

I'm thinking you're only refering to people of Arabic descent and totally disregarding America's own homespun terrorist organization. Perhaps, it's because you share the same skin tone so the chances of you being dragged behind a vehicle or left dangling from a tree are slim to none.
DAR, happened to my great uncle "Pappy" who lived in Pulaski, TN. He was fond of going fishing after hours, crazy I know, but it was his habit and well, apparently, one night, SNAFU.

Stop thinking of what MAY happen, and live life 1 day at a time. You can't control it or change it by worrying, as hard as that is to accept.

The only real answer to that is to try not to let it run your life; although, I do admit that in today's times that is difficult. All we can do is literally do what seems like the foolish thing to do and just put it out of our minds.

More Americans die in a year in traffic accidents than have died in terrorist attacks since 1900.
Get over it, it's fictional fear and it's being used to manipulate you.
