Physical Therapy/Psychology
I work as a physical therapy aide, and love my job so majoring in PT seemed like a natural choice. My college required an undergrad minor and I orginally went in as a bio major. But, after 2 weeks discovered that I hate the head of the department, so I decided to switch to Spanish or Psychology in my second semster. Come time to register from classes and only Psychology had a 101 type class open. I like to tell my friends that I became a psych major by default.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound) with a bachelor in Health Care Systems Administration. I choose this because I did not want to goto school for 8 years to become a psychologist, I wanted to work in a hospital but not as a nurse or a doctor. I choose Health Care Systems Administration because I am on a 2 year waiting list to get into the sonography program so it is great to fill my time and broadens my knowledge of the health care system.

I'm guessing your starting college in the fall and have no clue what to go for. If that's the case, then the real question is what do you care about? what do you like to do? If you really have no clue, then take an array of classes till you find something you like. Untill then, volunteer at a hospital till you start school, see if you like helping people in a medical capacity. Don't think that's for you? Like kids? work at a camp counselor maybe your into computers, take a summer class on-line through your local college about compters. No matter how many people reply to this question, none of us are you. Only you know what you like and what will make you happy. Good Luck

Radiography. (x-ray technician). As far as why I choose it honestly b/c it was a 3rd major of choice, tried of being in school and it's a 2yr. program. There's still a great deal of issues with choosing this field b/c of trying to get into the program itself. However, I think it will be a growing interest. I do find it interesting how what can be seen by the naked eye to some can be missed by others even in x-ray. (My husband's fracture ribs he later broke them).

The history of medicine, in particular that of the mid-Nineteenth Century and the American Civil War. Chose that because I'm a retired roentgenologic technologist and registered professional nurse. My wife has four ancestors who were Union soldiers, one of whom lost a leg in the Battle of Nashville and together we reenact the Civil War, me as a regimental surgeon and she as a sanitary commission worker. We do a lot of living history presentations too, because too few people have any idea of the impact of the Civil War on their lives. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it, and most of history is NOT something that folks would want to repeat.

Early Childhood Education and Musical Theatre.
I chose early childhood education because I love children and it amazes me to watch them go through all the developmental milestones throughout the first three years of their lives. I chose Musical theatre because I love music, it comes easily for me, and I love theatre, I was born for the stage.
