I am 14,am not sexually active excersize, and eat healthy. and I have been having extreme pain w/ my period. I have had it for like 2 yrs. Every time I get it, I get sick, feel like I am gonna puke unbarable back pain, "curl up in a ball" stomach pain. Whenever I get it I am out of school for the whole thing and am in bed unable to keep anything- the only thing that doesnt make me puke is water. The pain meds the doc gave me r not working, and the past 2-3 times I have had my period, I passed out a few times from the pain. Any advice will help!

I get really bad pains from it too. Like everything you said but I am usually only out of school for 1 day every month because of it. You should really talk your parent/guardian into taking you to see a gynecologist.

You'll need to see a doctor. But here's what he/she can do for you. Options include (1) "pain killers" - anti-inflammatory types work better eg. Ponstan/Synflex, (2) muscle relaxants - eg. buscopan, (3) hormonal treatment eg. contraceptives (OCP). You may think what the...??? But OCP's the only thing for one to have totally PAINLESS PERIODS. Pls bring your parents though if you are under 18.
Unlike common myths, OCPs don't cause infertility or much side effects. What DOES NOT work is evening primrose oil. Total waste of money.

Tell your doctor that the medication isn't working! Even though you aren't sexually active, sometimes birth control can really help - it helps regulate when you have your period, and level out your hormones. I find that it reduces pain significantly, but everyone's different. Maybe ask your doctor about that.

either go back to the dr or get a better one and tell them ALL the symptoms maybe you need to be put on a type of birth control to help with the pain.
