There just foreclosed homes.That HUD took from the Banks when the Auctions were unsuccessful.There not always torn down.When some banks are insured by FHA and CFHA and ther is a foreclosure the properties go to them.

HUD, or Housing and Urban Development, is a Federal agency that, among other things, takes ownership of homes with FHA-insured mortgages when the owner defaults on the note and the lender forecloses. The homes are then offered for sale at market value.

Housing and Urban Development. They are homes that were purhased with government backed loans. Someone couldn't make the payments so it's now a foreclosure. Did you go to HUD.com or put HUD in the Yahoo search engine and go from there.

HUD homes are goverment homes built for low income families. Including single parents.

homes that are torn up and have been abandoned for the most part..many have mold issues.......go to hud website and take a look in your area
