How motivation works?

You want something, you do the work necessary to get it, instead of complaining about how impossible it is.

That's motivation. Most people don't have it.

Motivation is the key of success. Without motivation you can not achieve target easily. Therefore, in the company they offer good incentives to employees.

Just take an example, if you want to train, a wild horse, lion or dolphin you will have to teach them and in return have to give some thing, giving something to eat(suppose) motivate them to do what the trainer want them to do.

Think if you do some thing remarkable and people around you say, oh you can't do it, you are trash, you are zero etc.

Or if I say, oh well done, keep it up, nice work.

Which phrase do you think moves you decide your self.

Positive and negative reinforcements. Apply the knowledge. You briefly studied it in high school and college, put it to use. Remember Pavlov and the dog? Or being grounded? I think positve reinforcements work best, though. Rewards. Example. what will motivate you to get to work on time. A prize. What will make you quit? a write up. See how that works?

If you are motivated then you will never feel bored to do anything.

I feel at different age there are different motivations.

Children are motivated by love and praise. If they do something and they are praised for it they will do the same thing again and again. So praise is the motivation for them. I feel it does work
