He is basically saying he is still a little boy who does not want to grow up and take responsibility. a.k.a. He is telling you he is having cold feet about getting serious in his relationship with you.

It means he just doesnt wanna grow up. Michael jackson is just insane. Peter pan syndrome is not real lol its just what you say about somebody who still likes to do childish things and maybe avoids responsibility even tho they are an adult.

That is what they called Micheal Jackson thru his defence council. It is a person who does not want to grow up, ever.
He wants to think like a child and act like a child even as an adult.
This is a serious form of mental illness as the conduct of these individuals is not appropriate. We all have time when we do childish things that we find fun but when called we can act as adults. That is normal.
