Actually my friend, I think you are looking at a 2.2L Mazda engine. I don't think they ever had a 2.5 in a Probe. The older Taurus models with 4 cyl. had a 2.3 stroked to a 2.5 but that was a ford motor, not a Mazda. The Mazda 626 and the Probe had the same drive train....nearly the same chassis. Now, on to the clutch and pressure plate. The Probe undercarriage (K-member) is fairly easy to take apart, and I think it all has factory alignment other than tow, so it's hard to mess it up. Just drop everything down and pull the driver's strut and hub assy, and slide the tranny back. Not too hard. Good luck.

check your local auto parts store you can get the clutch plate pressure plate through out berring and clutch allignment tool for about 100 to 150 dollars then take it to a shop if you don't know how to replace it your self. that way they only charge you labor. other wise they usally mark up the price of the clutch also sometime almost double the price.

I don't know what you want to know but a stab in the dark would be price.....www.napaonline.com
They range in price from $164 - $400, depending on what you want. My advise is this: buy NEW, not re-manufactured. They are more money, but from my experience, they are more trouble free. There's not much of anything more frustrating than fighting with a clutch install only to find out that there is something wrong with it, because you wont' find out until you try to drive it.
