No! When you ask a question, and receive helpful answers, you're being provided a service. A deduction of 5 points is supposed to discourage all the stupid questions, joke questions and troll questions. Those questions are still out of hand. I'm thinking it should be 10 points deducted for each question. Deducting 5 points doesn't discourage asking questions. Asking questions shouldn't be a "habit". A habit is something that's excessive, out of control. If people ONLY asked questions when they really needed help with something, there would be fewer people complaining about points being deducted for asking a question. Remember, Y!A isn't a game. There's no need to get crazy over getting or losing points. There's nothing we can do with the points. I think Y!A should have more control over getting rid of all the silly, pointless questions that aren't in any way asking for help with any kind of problem, instruction, etc. Too many users think this site is a game.

I do not answers questions to get any reward from any one. I answer them to test my knowledge and your response whether it is satisfying you or not. If it will be a correct answer to your question and you are satisfied, I will be also satisfied and thankful.
