I think that they are more frightening than clowns, which rank pretty high on my list of horrors.

I'm not afraid of many things, but those dolls with the porcelain faces, with those eye lashes and those eyes close and open when you tip them...those give me the creeps...same with those clown dolls with the same shiny freaky porcelain faces...ahhhhhh

Keep this thought in mind. A doll is only a lifeless object in itself. This seems to have been a favorite thing to write about or put in a movie or tv program through the years to scare the viewers or readers. However, dolls like anything can be manipulated by supernatural means. It is not the doll that is doing anything of itself. Having had them of porcelain, cloth, plastic, and rubber for over thirty years as well as other toys, none has scared me. If one has been traumatized by a horror movie or an over active imagination, they could exhibit a fear of them. Clowns are only good for the circus or rodeo events. Do not go there if you do not like to see them. I personally do not care to see these people. When we feel vulnerable is when things scare us the most. An accident put me in bed unable to get up. The site of a bug really bothered me because of my helpless condition. Normally, I would just kill it or if possible make it fly out the door. The fact that being vulnerable made me very uncomfortable at the site of one even though it would not harm me. Not all clowns are bad people. They just look like victims of too many paint ball wars.

I bought a Chucky doll once. I thought it was funny until the thing started following me around the house. One day I opened my bedroom door, and Chucky was on the floor staring at me. Then the next day, I opened the front door and his a$$ was on the porch staring at me. I think it was our dog leaving the doll places, but I didn't want to find out. Friday Chucky go a free ride to the dump!

There was a really scary life-size doll that sat in a chair at the top of the stairs at my grandmother's house when I was a kid. I was afraid to go upstairs. And that's where I had to sleep.

You MAY be suffering from a phobia or an O.C.D problem--it is nothing to be alarmed about--but you should see a Medical Practitioner and explain the FULL SERIES OF EVENTS to him/her-there are mild drugs that can eventually remove such frights and concerns--it may take a little time !!!!!!!!

I don't get why people would be afraid of them, they are just hunks of molded plastic.

If your doll scares you why don't you donate it to needy children who would love to have a doll to play with.

my sister had this problem (i believe she still does). when we were kids, i used to chase her around the house with one to end whatever argument we were having. i really enjoyed watching her claw her way up a wall to escape on those occasions.

but i'm an adult now so i don't do it anymore...shame.
