This happens alot in my line of work. As a nurse, I personally hate when I am in this position. Always worry about what I say and do. I have found that most people need to know all outcomes. I recently answered yes to a questions about, Do Miracles Really Happen? Even though things often seem impossible, there is always the unknown factor, some would call it: God, Jehovah,or Allah. Anyway the death of a child is horrible, but not know what is wrong is often worse. As to the first part of the question, luckly, no I haven't came across this rare question.
