It is the largest central asian country and the most developed and rapidly devloping one at that. The discovery of oil in and near the caspian sea has contributed greatly to it's economic growth. Назабаев plans on making Kazakhstan a developed country by 2030.
There are many people there called тімүр which is a name that came from the conqueror tamerlane who used to play polo with the heads of his victims.
I have many friends there and they are all warm friendly people but when you speak to them on the phone all you get is да...он нету and then it's hung up.
It's capital is астана which is kazakh for "capital", it's a small city, there are many people from the larger southern khanate that are unhappy with the capital moving away from алма ата, but at least they got rid of the politicians (As is also the case for Australia and the Netherlands). Almaty is a very beutiful city with many theatres, concert halls, and universities attracting students from all over the country. The nearby Tien Shan mountains offer scenic walks up to Bolshoye Almatinskoye Ozero or even further to Lake Issykul in кыргызстан.
Kazakhstan is also famous for the Baikonur launching pad where soviet space shuttles were launched from. Famous historical figures are Abay the poet, Djambul (not too sure what he was famous for, I think music) and Shevchenko (not the soccer player) who was actually Ukranian but his nationistic push for Ukranian as a language stirred up a similar nationalistic push in Kazakhstan.

Its one of a set of triplets. That by a terrible misfortune in their infant years they all got sold separately instead of a single Batch. Such a terrible thing to have had happen. And as you can see the End result of having no permanent Parents. has caused them to be brought up as very unruly undisciplined little countries. Afghanistan...Pakistan...Kazakhstan. OH yes they had an Uncle i believe called Uzbekistan.

It's near Afghanistan because of the stan....it's Muslim because of the Stan.....and since I know nothing else about it it must not be too popular right now.
