DARWIN SAYS HIS TEORY IS NO MORE WITH HIS OWN WORDS!!!
In Asia, Africa and Australia lives a remarkable creature the archerfish that shoots down its prey from the air above it with a burst of water. It uses its tongue and the top of its mouth to form a groove simiilar to a gun barrel. Then by compressing its gills it squirts water up to six feet with deadly accuracy -- in spite of the distortion caused by seeing the target from below the surface of water.
Evolutionists still don't know how the archerfish got its amazing abilities. They can only wonder. Viewid through the distortion of evolution they cannot explain how the archerfish gradually learned to not aim where its eyes see but to aim instead at a different spot where the target actually is.
Without its binocular vision it couldnot see the object with such precision and without the special shape of the upper mouth and a specialized tongue it could not make the groove it needs to shoot lthe concentrated jet of water. Many factors have to appear together and be perfectly formed for this shooting mechanism to work. This of course goes totally against Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory which is based on a gradual step by step process.
Darwin wrote in (The Origin of Species)-- "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous successive slight modifications my theory would absolutely break down"(1859, p. 171).
The archerfish offers precisely such an example since several complex systems must all appear at the same time perfectly and not gradually formed--binocular vision,a specialized mouth and tongue, specialized gills to compress and expel water and an aiming system based in the brain and not in the eyes. If any of these parts is missing the mechanism will not hit the target and no survival advantage is created.
When you get down to the facts the archerfish with one squirt of its gills shoots down Charles Darwin's entire theory of evolution and that by Darwin's own admission!!!
So evolution doesn't have the answer to this mystery. But the Bible does. Genesis 1:20-21 says that God created all the creatures that live in the water. He created a great variety of perfectly formed fish including the archerfish with all its special features such as binocular vision other specialized organs and a built in ability to compenste for the distortion of the water.

Yes, because you can see the proof in actual fossils which you can touch, see, smell, taste, and eat (though I would not recommend the last three). What proof is there of Biblical creationism; a book written by scribes thousands of years after the actual event occurred, all with different translations to express the meaning that specific scribe wanted and with no remnants of the original work?

Evolution is not a whole species movement, it's a slow development of a small percentage where, instead of being killed off from natural selection, the difference becomes dominant and, when mating occurs, is passed on to the offspring. It's not as instant change involving fairy dust and magic; it's an ever-occurring process.

Before you ask about evolution, learn about it yourself. The theory is not from "apes and monkeys", the theory is that humans come from "a common ancestor" (as said by the chap with a Halloween-esque avatar somewhere above).

And, no, I don't think we'll evolve to have super human powers. That is, indeed, simply laughable. Evolution occurs to support adaptation, but humans have stepped over that line and no longer need to adapt; they just make the environment adapt to them.

For the umpteenth time:

It has never been said that we evolved from monkeys and apes. The theory states that we all evolved from a common ancestor.

Furthermore evolution is not as tidy as you have been led to believe. It is not as simple as one species checking out of it's Earthly hotel room and another checking in. Very often the root species and the new species share the Earth for thousands or hundreds of thousands of years. There is evidence that homo sapiens routinely encountered Java Man (homo erectus) before homo erectus disappeared from the Earth.

No, we are certainly not done evolving. However, your reference to "a couple hundred more years" demonstrates that you don't realize the vast amount of time required for even the smallest changes to occur. If, following your X-Men example homo sapiens is ever to evolve into homo superior it will take hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years.

I believe in the "Evolution of the Kind" and this theory is demonstrated in the fossil record. This theory puts forth that individual kinds evolve over time. The classic example is the horse which has evolved from a small multi-toed animal to the creatures we have today. Within their kinds animals adapt to many places and ecosystems. If you are talking about classic Darwinism than the answer would be "no" and interestingly enough Darwin rejected his own theories prior to his death.

every creature has evolved at the pace needed to survive, if you were a ape a hundreds of thousand years ago and all was plentiful through today, i dont belive that to much change would have occured.
If however the environment where you lived kept changing so much that you constantly had to adapt to everything around you while you moved generation after generation, your species would eventualluy evolve.

Does believe in evolution and you better do some reading on the subject. It has NEVER been stated that we evolved directly from apes. Apes and humans have a common ancestor, that is a huge difference. Do some reading.

This argument will go on for eternity. Both sides are going to argue their points and try to shoot each other down.

What do you suppose happened? Adam and Eve. Then we are all sisters and brothers. If what happened then isn't incest then I don't know what is. Why are we punishing incestous people in our society?

In evolution, it is branches. One group always found a way to change leaving the other group behind. We are still changing and who knows maybe in a couple of hundred years we may have powers like the X-Men.

Just like you probably have some smart cousins. They evolved from your grandparents to be smart, and their decendants will probably be smart, also. While you on the other hand... Get it?
