The aquamarine.
I think it is the prettiest.
I love it due to it's color AND brilliance.
It is a very pale bluish green or actually more like a pale greenish blue.
Similar to the most beautiful swimming pool you have ever seen. It is like a light pastel turquoise DIAMOND.
It shines and has the clarity of a diamond.
When light hits it, it throws sparklets of light, all around the room.
It looks best set in silver, platinum or white gold. The jewel itself, has an almost a silvery blue look to it.
I've always wanted an aquamarine ring and or necklace.
Maybe one day...I hope.

A hard choice...
I feel a deep connection to amethyst, whose purple hues seem to resonate with the spiritual side of me, and whose clarity can range from opaque to nearly transparent.
But perhaps the most beautiful of all is topaz, because its range covers everything from smokey bronzes and peaches, to sky blues, glassy reds, harvest pinks, and sea toned greens. It is said that topaz was colored by the god Ra, and its powers (which include making the wearer strong or invisible, changing color in the presence of poison, and curing insomnia) wane and wax with the moon. A hard stone, but one that can be split with a single blow, it shares characteristics with diamonds, but does not bear their bloody history (the diamond trade is a vicious one).

Crystals - Whether in jewelry or hanging on a chanderlier, they are beautiful to look at and will capture anyone's attention when the sunlight projects the illuminating colors of the rainbow. Also, natural crystals are known to have healing properties.

Don't know if it counts, but my favorite by far is black onyx. Especially when paired with silver. There's something mysterious about the stone, something mermorizing. Moonstone is also beautiful, but it depends on how it's shaped and how clear it is. The hazy teardrop moonstone is probably my favorite. And then there's amber, that one is lovely too. Amber is associated with my grandmother, so it has a special value to me.

emeralds because they are rarer and have more history than diamonds, have a beautiful natural green colour which reminds me of the lushest places on earth and theyve been sought after by royals and merchants since ancient times. also a lot of cultures wear them because they believe they have mystic properties which include bringing luck and bringing the wearer wealth.

ALthough sparkling diamonds ARE beautiful, and probably the most valuable, I LOVE the look of a turquoise! The colouring of one of them ALWAYS gets me sighing with happiness! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Opal. the color and fire an opal had is caused by cracks in the stone. so the more beautiful it is the more breakable it is. the opal itself is about 80% water just like a human.

I think one of the prettiest is tanzanite---It seems to have a deeper, nicer color than a blue Sapphire...but both are nice....
