It might be interesting to note that not all moles are blind. Also that, for example, the blind mole rat has actually EVOLVED from the rodent family, Spalacidae.

Male moles aren't born blind. The mole has eyes and ears but they are incredibly small so they do not become filled with earth when digging. They can see movement and tell light from dark, but cannot distinguish colours.

This may become crucial if there is something disrupting their burrows.

To combat their disablity of bad eye sight they have sensitive snouts and sensitive pimples cover the surface, detecting tiny movements, temperature change, prey and other moles through scent.

I dont believe in evolution, I believe in creation.
But perhaps an arguement can be made that blind moles are apparently a newer type of mole and havnt had millions of years to evolve yet?

they are well on their way.

many species of cave animal (fish, crickets) are born without eyes after millions of years of evolution in a dark environment.

The moles eyes are a perfect example of evolution in action. just give them another few thousand years
