Ok, so he won the race the other day. Here is my dilemma. I just started a new job today and almost everyone in the office is a Stewart fan. I happen to be a fan of Jeff Gordon. Even my boss likes Tony!(she must be crazy!!LOL) should I mention that I am a Gordon fan or just pretend that I have no idea what NASCAR is???????
What would you do if your boss liked a driver you couldn't stand? If it was Earnhart or Harvick.....I would be ok, but it's Tony!!!!!!!!
Sorry 20 fans...we are all allowed to have our favs!!

Well, I would definitely start looking for a new job. That has to be one of the most uncomfortable workplaces you could be in. I don't know if you should reveal yourself yet. If you do decide to stay, I think I would probably just keep as quiet as I could about Jeff until you become indespenable. Then you can admit your feelings. If you pretend you don't know about NASCAR, they will try to pull you into to their web. How in the world did you ever get a job there? Didn't you do any research before accepting the job?! For your next job, you need to remember to find this stuff out when you interview them. Lots of luck!! Go, Jeff, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! '

Oh, WOW! I LOVE the idea of painting a 24 on the boss' car!!!

And, you are right! Too many people on here have no sense of humor!

I'm a Tony Stewart fan and alot of my friends are Jeff Gordon fans . We have alot of fun at work after the races joking with each other. I can even laugh when Tony S. loses or wins its all in fun like any other sport. Just keep it in perspective and with all things keep the Boss happy :). Hope you like your new job.

Why would you quit your job for that reason? At work we sponsor a car but not all of our employees are Sadler fans. We have Gordon fans, Jr. fans, Tony fans and many others. Most of us know which driver the others support so we all tease each other when our driver does better than theirs. I have Sadler on my computer screen so that anyone who walks by the desk has to look at him or turn their heads. If they don't like the person that you support they don't have to discuss NASCAR with you.

Hey I am a Tony fan, but you are right you allowed to have your favorites. Although I do not believe that the rivalry between Gordon and Stewart is as strong as it used to be. So tell them, it might be fun you guys can joke around all day!!!!

definatly dont quit now. most people are good humored about it, and shouldn't mind. you all can be freinds and tease eachother about who is the best driver. i dont think tony is all bad, but i see where you are coming from. they cant fire you for who u like in NASCAR but they can make your life a living hell if they take it the wrong way. but the shouldn't. i totally agree with know it all, but mabey not her car. buy her a bunch of gordon stuff and leave it on her desk. just think how uncomfortable you would be if they all liked earnhardt jr. alot of earnhardt fans REALLY don't like gordon, not to patronize or anything, but i have noticed this alot.

I think that's really sad of you if you would consider leaving your job because somebody is a Tony fan. I happen to be a huge Tony fan myself, but would never have a problem if somebody happened to like somebody I don't. You gotta grow up and stop being such a baby, because even the fact that you THOUGHT about leaving your job because of that tiny little thing is stupid.

Hell, tell them you love Gordon!!! Put pictures of him all over in your desk or where his shirts or hats, whatever you can particularly do!

I am a fan of Jimmie Johnson, although I don't get as much crap as Gordon fans, I hear it and could care less! You will probably get picked on, oh well, pick back! Although I am not a fan of Gordon, Stewart is way worse...if they say Gordon whines, say Stewart is a hothead...if they say Gordon is gay, ask where Stewarts hot fiance is...if they say Gordon cheats, ask who purposely hits other drivers and spins them out...if they say Gordon sucks, ask them how many championships each has!

Good luck!

To me that would be a plus because you guys would have something to rib each other about I think I might try to make it a running thing that you poke each other with (kinda like Alabama & auburn fans) if you try that and get a negative reaction then I'd just leave Nascar at home and not worry about it after all theres no accounting for taste.

Seeing as how you are a Jeff-whiny boy-Gordon "fan" (how do those words exist in a sentence together?), they should not have hired you in the first place!!!!

They should fire you!!!!

P.S. I don't like Tony Stewart either, but I'd take him any day over fag-boy Gordon!!!!

Dont quit that would be silly. Its just NASCAR hun. Yeah I have gotten into a few quarrels about how great Tony is myself. After all he is the greatest but its not worth losing your job over
