i love dollies. i have one that looks real, her name is jenny. i have her wrapped
up in a pink blanket just like a real baby.

No, actually, I tend to collect older dolls. There may be a baby or two in my storage bin that I don't recall right now, but they are not my focus. I like dolls I can make clothes for, like my beautiful 18" Gotz autographed by Martha Pullen that I named Patience, because it took much patience to raise the money to buy her. I've made a large wardrobe for her. My most valuable, I think (at least my most rare) is a porcelain portrait of Princess Elizabeth which was a very limited edition sold to tourists in the Tower of London. I have quite a few Barbies, and I intend to collect more dolls once I have more money. I think we should have a separate category for doll collectors, don't you?

Linda Lou. I got her back in the early 60s by sending in quite a few Kellogg's cereal box tops. She was the most wonderful doll in the world and, believe it or not, I still miss her. If I ever find one on E-bay or at the swap meet she will come home with me. (It's allowed. The man of the house has his sling shot from back then.)

Dolls have souls. If you have one, care for it. If you don't care for them, keep away. When you are through with your dolls, before you throw them away, bless them in some way, that could mean just voicing how much they meant to you but now it's time to let go, something like that. They have souls.

What is a baby doll? The only "babydoll" I know is a name for a type of ladies' dress.

I like some of them I guess, not all, I used to have the one that crawled when you turned her on when I was little, in the 80s and the one that ate something that looked like real baby food and then went to the bathroom.
