my mom said i am too young to shave my legs i am 12 and it is embarassing to wear shorts out in public she said i have to wait until im 16 ishaved once before but she noticed what should i do i cantwait until im 16

keep shaving. who care what your parents say. what can she do if you keep shaving you legs. cut them off? buy some razors, hide them, and everytime she throws one away get another one from your hiding spot and keep shaving. i did the same thing as you.

Well, one thing to do would be to come home one day in tears because the kids teased you and called you "grizzly" because you were so hairy. Another thing to do would be to call her on a technicality. Nair=not shaving. Wax=not shaving. Or take a stand and tell her that you are old enough to shave and that she can try and stop you but she really can't, and that she has to accept it. Tell her there are far worse desires coming, shaving your legs is the least of her worries. Pretty soon you'll be making out with boys and trying to stay out all night, she can at least enjoy your childhood and let you shave your legs. And 16 is way too late to start shaving. I didn't know a single High School Freshman female that didn't shave, it's just not done.

OMG thats so mean. You should totally have the right to shave when you are ready not when you mom is. She has to face the fact that you are growing up you are a big girl. I started shaving when I was 11. I was embarrased by the hair on my legs and I have dark hair ewww. Trust me she will get over it. Shaving your legs is tricky at first but once you learn what works for you its as smooth as silk. I didn't wait for my moms aproval or ask for her help. GL.

i did it when i started my time of month which was about 10/11 years of age.... so tell her why you want to shave your legs, how embarrassed you are, and anything that you can think of. tell her that other girls do it too like me... i don't think you are too young to do it.. trust me i was shaving my legs at your age. i even knew a girl that started to shave her legs when she was just in the 5th grade. if she doesn't accept try to ask someone else to help you like a friend's mom (who lets her daughter do it at your age) or just shave them.(maybe it'll show her how you can be responsible to do it and stuff) your legs would look better when shaved than when they aren't. i think your mom shouldn't really raise you as how she was raised. today's life style is so different from your mom's childhood lifestyle

You need to tell your mom that your very self consious about your legs. Your 12 + are or will be going through puberty. Your growing up + this is one thing that she is going to have to deal with.

you should shave them anyway,and if your mom notices, just tell her its bad hygeine to walk around with hairy legs, maybe shes scared guys will notice you if you do? but even if you do get in trouble its worth it,cuz trust me! I would keep on shaving my legs. I started shaving my legs in middle school. Ask your mom when she started shaving her legs and explain to her how embarrassing it is to have hairy legs.
