The best way to make it so that your boyfriend won't leave you is to make yourself valuable to him. What makes you unique? What are you willing to contribute to the relationship?
Remember that you only do the things that you are truly willing to do. I was willing to get up early and make my girlfriend coffee every morning yet didn't drink coffee. It was just a nice thing to do and she appreciated it. I was willing to help her with her daughter from another relationship. I gave her the time that she needed to have with her daughter and not demand more time in the relationship than she could give. Some people could not do the same thing and stay in the relationship, yet ours lasted for 12 years.
It is too easy to say be yourself for what does that really mean? We are each differerent in different situations. For example we act differently in front of our parents than we do our best friends. We act differently with our best friends at a funeral than we do at a bar. All "acts" are part of the real us with respect to the situation.
As a guy it may be the "real" me to want to look at the girl walking by eith the 38DD chest, but I would not disrespect my girlfriend by doing that. Does that mean I am not being real? When she asks me if these pants make her look fat... come on!
You need two main things for a lasting relationship. Mutual goals and mutual respect. Love changes, infatuation fades, sex goes through phases. As long as you and he are striving toward the same goal and respect each other you can make it through anything. If you don't have respect for each other you will not value the relationship enough to endure the pain and difficulty that it requires to make it last. The mutual goals give you a direction to travel. Without either you will fail.

If you can be yourself sweetie,you don't need him.Being real by being yourself is the only way.If you have to act a certain way to keep him,your relationship wasnt real anyway.
