are the pedals oriented towards the left too?

As in..On American cars, the steering wheel is on the left side, with the pedals worked by the right foot. Is it the opposite with cars made for driving on the left side (IE those made for Australia), where the pedals are worked by the left foot?

Please answer quickly, there is money riding on this :P.

no, the pedal setup is the same way, the gas pedal on the right, the brake on the left, and the clutch on the far left. only the steering column is different.

The pedals are the same as they are here in the States. Its kind of a trip driving nearly on the shoulder of the road. I had to drive a Morris Minor in a parade one time, and I'm glad I drove it around the block a few times before going in the parade with it. The biggest problem for me was shifting with my left hand. I snubbed it out twice because I started it out in third, thinking it was first.

If you are sitting in a car made for consumption in Japan....

The right most pedal would be the gas pedal. (worked by right foot)
The middle pedal would be the brake. (worked by right foot)
The left most pedal would be the clutch. (worked by left foot)

In another words, exactly the same as US vehicles.

Blinker switch will be where your wiper switch will be and vise versa. (very annoying as I tried to turn, the wiper comes on!)

LOL! It's set up exactly the same way, only on the right side instead of the left!

You've got several right answers... but note the "on the floor" gear shift stays in the middle, so you shift with the other hand!
