I think Dream Angel is on to something. I'm adopted , I was adopted when I was 3 years old. I didn't get along with my adoptive parent so when I turned 18 I got a letter from a lawyer about my real mother. I called my real mother and we've been doing great ever since. The love that binds goes deeper than anything anyone tries to create from scratch. My real mother and I have a respect and understanding of each other that she did what she had to for my well being. I had a life before I knew her (not necessarily a happy one). I am my own person and live my life how I please. But it all started with her taking the chance to try and contact me. Because it could have gone either way.

I think that all parents have some sort of love for their children. Maybe she did give you away out of love for you. Maybe she knew that she could not care for you and wanted you to have a better life so she gave you to people who could provide that for you. I say give her a chance, what's it gonna hurt?
