Best is to buy an FM transmitter such as I-trip or any ipod car charger with a transmitter on it.. it will run approximately $40-$100 depending on the type you get. The FM transmitter works like a personal radio station, you program it to a certain frequency, tune your car stereo, or any other type of fm stereo to that frequency and enjoy.

What you need is a device that plugs into your Ipod and then transmits your music or Ipod output to the FM Radio. Depending on which Ipod you have. The top products are by Belkin and Kensington and can be found at most Target and WalMart stores and sometimes a great deal in a BJ's wholesale club or Sam's or Coscos. Good Luck but remember to look for a device that transmits over the FM radio band and not one that Receives FM.

There are plenty of cheaper alternatives than having something installed in your car... Since you don't have a cassette player I would recommend an iTrip type tool. You attach it to your iPod and it transmits through the radio. It'll run you about $40-$50 but compared to $100s it could cost to have something installed it is a fair solution. They are available anywhere... direct from apple, radio shack, target and wal-mart all have several variations of this idea.

Best is to use itrip. Its a small accessory that can be attached to your ipod and then tuned on the same frequency on the FM radio and the ipod. The song output is realllly good and clear. itrip is a product of the griffin technologies.

Things u need for this to work is only an FM radio in ur car and the ipod and that itrip accessory.

Thats it ..

Hope it works for u ..

Unfortunately it's not possible if your car ONLY has the CD player; you would have to get a new iPod-friendly CD player installed in order for it to work.

However, if your car has a tape player, you can buy a cassette adapter that plugs from your tape player to your iPod (these are relatively cheap - around $15 on eBay).

Without a tape player your only option is something like the Griffin iTrip. It plugs into your cigarette lighter and transmits on empty FM stations on the lower part of the FM band (low 80's - like 88.1). No installation needed. It goes for about $80 and is available in most major electronics stores liek Best Buy or Circuit City - even Target.

There is always the device that sends a signal thru radio waves. You can buy it on line and other places. A great one that I used for a short time was a transpod. It charged the ipod and sent it to a radio wave but it wasn't cheap either maybe 60 bucks. Here is a website http://www.pricegrabber.com/rating_getprodrev.php/masterid=14000382/id_type=masterid/

But it is up to you

See if your car radio as an auxiliary input, if it does then just get a cord. If it doesn't you can either get a kit and hook it into either the CD player if it's external, or the antenna. Or you could just get a FM modulator. Check out compusa.com, cnet.com, bestbuy, etc.

There is a car mount you have to buy from Apple and then in the manual it says the car mount's frequency you put that station on your radio and you hear the iPod's music over your car stereo, my brother does it he's into that gear. Ask apple.
