DON'T scratch it!!! When it begins to peel and heal it will itch so don't scratch it. Wash it with anti-bacterial soap (Dial) about 3 times a day, pat dry and apply something to keep it from drying out. I use a product called Tattoo Goo from my tattoo artist but a lot of other people use an unscented lotion.

Welcome to the wonderful world of tattooing, this will more than likely not be your last as they are quite addicting, going for my 4th and 5th one this fall!! I can't wait!!

Don't worry about her finding out, just for the taking care of it, just keep it clean and lubricated. follow the directions that the tattoo artist gave you for keeping it clean. I have a tattoo myself even at 25 when I got it, it is something that most kids don't want to share with their parents. But half the time theyve wanted one themselves. Just keep it clean and in two weeks it will be fine.

If you're young enough to be concerned about what you mother will say you shouldn't do it. A tattoo is serious business, more serious than just how to take care of it. A tat is pretty much forever so maybe you should stop and think about this some more. You can always get one later.

For my first tattoo: I put a tiny drop of Bacitracin OINTMENT on it for the first 3 days twice a day. Then after that I put a small amount of plain old Lubrderm lotion on it (UNSCENTED) for about a week. Make sure it doesnt get dried out and you should be fine.

well sweetie she will find out soon enough, but for the care, keep it moist but not soaked in lubricant, don't freak out cause its going to itch and scab up, just keep stuff on it like A&D ointment preferable, i have seven and i found out that keeping that stuff on it helps out tremendouisly, it'll be healed in 2weeks completely good luck
