I had a printer and it worked fine but then it printed but no ink hit the paper. So I changed ink cart. Twice. Same problem. Hooked up a brand new printer with ink cart. prints but ink does not hit the paper. 2 different brand name printers, same problem. Computer recognizes them both, printer goes but the page comes out blank. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Try going into properties of the printer..here have it print a test page...if it does that ok,then make sure you have it set as the default printer

If you don't use the printer often (at least once a month) you probably have cartridges drying up on you. If by chance you have an epson or canon, the print head is inside the printer, so regardless of how many new cartridges you put in there, you will encounter the same problem.

You can try to run a bunch of print head cleanings. (your manual will tell you how) If by about 8 you are not seeing any improvement start with a new printer. Do a print head cleaning once a month ALWAYS as a preventative measure. This will ensure you get a long life out of your printer, and a top quality print from your cartridges.

I've had that happen. Did you take the little tape tabs off of the ink cartridges before you installed them? On my ink cartridges, there are little peices like scotch tape at the bottom front corner of the cartridge it self. They are a booger to get off, but you have to remove them and then put the cartridge badk in the printer and "go" again. The tape covers the ink outlet. If they are still "on" no ink comes out.

colour inkjet printers were furniture in maximum small agencies for decades. they are less costly (lower than $60 on occasion), very last many years and each and absolutely everyone makes use of them. so that they should be the suitable place of work methods, proper? possibly no longer. once you do the maths on printing, inkjets would probably value you a good purchase better than you comprehend.

Try printing from multiple programs see if same results occur. If USB printer try changing to different USB connection. If all else fails do scan for viruses. Try AVG free addition available on line.

You might have the wrong paper type selected, and on older models, the cartridge height lever is set too high. On Epson, it's on one side and has a plus and minus position. Try the minus. On the older canons, it's above the cartridge holder. Move it to the left to lower it.

didn't mention the brand name since each brand has different method. try to clean the print head or run the print head cleaning program

you should read the manual, how to prepare the printer for the first use. usually, there are lots of tapes and protectives that you should remove first.
