Damned proud of it. I am a big fan of our founding fathers like Thomas Jefferson and what he stood for. Those guys had balls to go up against British rule. They sacrificed a lot and far too few people even begin to realize what they did and even fewer seem to appreciate what we have today. But don't get me started.

I am patriotic, I love this country, it has so many beautiful places, such rich and diversified history. I feel proud knowing that any country that would try to invade us would find that our street gangs are tougher than their army, and in this country everyone would be fighting back to preserve what is ours. To many Nations are hating the United States because of our Government, not realizing a lot of our citizens are not fond of the same thing. I love America for it's people, because that's what we are, the loud vulgar brashness of
New York, the wild party that is New Orleans, the Majesty of Boston, and all the places in between, the music, and the literature that has come from so many nations and become American. The dreams of the immigrants that came here to escape persecution, and built the railroads and the shipyards, and the canals. So many ugly things also, like the Civil War, but that showed what America is made of. That's my view of my country

I love it. I am very proud to be American. My husband & I were discussing what if? What if the United States of American quit helping every nation - financially or defending themselves - what country would step up to help the starving countries or defend the other nations. Look at Somalia - Clinton decided not to stay & help & now they have no goverment, no law, no food, & so much crime that people will not deliver supples to them. What country do you think will step up to the task? We at least try, where is everyone else in this task.

I am happy and I love my freedom. We have people from all nationalities in our country and we are the Nation that is still going to war.Our government had two wars at the same time and I realized it is very hard for our people.Right now I am worry about global warming and I need to educate our people to do more about saving energy and stop ourselves from depending on foreign oil.Right now,we have immigration problem and we have to take care 12 million illegal who slipped through our border.Unfortunately,we do not haves money to help them because, our corporations are outsourcing our jobs to oversea. However, despite problem America encounters,I am still proud to be American and I love to meet everybody around the world. We are lucky that we have more resource more than people around the world so America can survive on her own.

I am deeply moved by what we have tried to do in this nation. Our ideals. Our views on self determination as a group, as a nation. It is rough at times, but I would not trade it for anything else. We have a good nation, and we will, together, make it a better one.

I can admit that my country is not perfect and has done a lot of wrong but I still love it as my home and my country, and I thak all those that gave their lives and their resources to defend and build this country, and I hope people remember what our forefathers had in mind when they gave birth to this great nation 230 years ago.

I was born in America, I fought in an illegal war, I am watching an illegal war while our Fascist president is undermining all our civil liberties! At the same time I have seen the rich get richer and the divide between rich and poor grow thanks to the policies of this government! We are becoming Fascist!

i'm proud to be an American! i'm not always proud of how we're handling things here in America however. we need to concentrate on what's best for out country, instead of who's right and wrong so much. republicans fighting democrats, instead of the betterment of our country!!!
