The best thing is to read a number of sources of news.
I read three different newspapers a day, plus watch at least 2 news programs as well.
All network television has its biases; you just have to find your way around the different biases by obtaining different points of view on the same issue.

Watch C-SPAN if you want to see real forums with knowledgeable people from both sides of the arguement actually discussing subjects instead of shouting like some dysfunctional family. Also ABC and CBS are good, but try to stay away from FOX news, they're fun to watch but they tend to be very very one sided most of the time.

I review online news from Britian, several Middle east news pages.
about 3/4 of US news are way to liberal and try to make more news than report on it.
And the other 1/4 does not give liberals a equal value.
I find almost no US news service giving equal and fair news over all.

You have to pick it out from the internet, compare and contrast. BBC and Fox, then CNN just to make sure you haven't missed something. Try the Yahoo news browser, too. It isn't just the slant that is different. Often entirely different types of stories are covered by different media.

BBS or some overseas station! Ireland is a good source!
FOX news??? Who fired a reporter because she knew what she was going to say was a lie and she refused to broadcast it. She filed suit, and a Florida Judge said it was OK for Fox to lie!!!

PBS. At least they let the other side talk without hyping stuff just to fill up air time.
