we can want alot, but not all of us can afford everything we want, especially when you have kids, and your finances are limited.

thanks younggb77, thanks, and your right most ABP,apts are not all that nice, i have done some research on alot of apts, and most in dallas area are not very safe nor nice looking. i plan to look in other areas of texas. i did live in some ABP,apt. the complex was extremely old but it was ok, the inside was huge and all well kept, but now they are tearing them down to make expensive condos. they are doing this all over dallas, tearing down apts that are in good condition. i do have to admit they have torn down some, i believe are not fit for living.

Try an apartment locator in Dallas. They will do the searching for you and often help you move free. Also try off Spring Valley Road there are a ton of affordable areas. They dont pay all bills they are low priced and nice enough. Try Worthington Point on Spring Valley and Coit. It keeps you in Richardson School District.

Good luck.

I don't know about the 90 degree stipulation or local law. If it's not law and the lease doesn't specify a temperature I would talk to a lawyer. I don't know why these other people are so pricky about this. In most cases a letter from a lawyer would convince the landlord. It should cost less than $100. Actually, I like heat but not everyone does.

You should get an apartment guide or find an apartment locator and tell them all your needs. It has been my experience that most places in Dallas, that are all bills paid aren't that nice. But you might want to try the N.Dallas, Spring Valley area.
