Yes, lay on your back on your bed and put your feet up on the wall. Or, lay on the floor and put you lower legs up on the couch. It always works for me. Also, its a good idea to not wear tampons when your cramping real hard. And the best medicine for cramps is Ibuprofin/Advil. Dont even bother with Tylenol or Aspirin.

A really good balanced diet is very helpful.
Exercise is even better. Avoid alot of
sugar and salts about a week prior to your
time. Calcium is very important. I found
eating strawberries or from the berry family,
and drinking a lot of water is key.
If you want natural, and no medicine,
drink camomile tea. Hope this helps.

I found that sitting in a form of heat, whether its a hot car with the windows rolled up (yes you sweat for a bit but the cramps go away), or a hot shower, or if you want.. a tanning salon. Always helped me.

Ibuprofen , such as Midol and Advil works great (Advil liquigels work in minutes).

Hot packs are great, but inconvenient when not at home. Heat/pain relief patches are discrete, some unscented, convenient and work for hours - i.e. Capzasin, Salonpas, BenGay, Aspercreme, etc

If you exercise regularly you will have less cramps. Also sometimes if you do not drink caffienated drinks it helps.

I sometimes got in a very warm bath. It seemed to relax the muscles.

Some people find that a heating pack helps, esp. if it's menstrual cramps.
