We are trying to fix up a guest room, besides the logical bed, chair and lights what else can I put in there to make my guests more comfortable and feel at home? There is a private bath.

Add some books relating to your town maybe or state for those guests that come from out of town. Candles add a nice touch too. Stationary, lamps, a nice radio with a good selection of CDs, maybe a little fridge for drinks, a little basket of cookies or snacks.

Here is some more from About.com:

Make a list of the best shopping areas, museums, parks, and your favorite restaurants. Mark special locations on the maps with highlighter pens. You can print out directions from major roadways and laminate them, making sure they know how to get back home! Place all the items in a box or basket that you keep in the guest room. You won't have to re-gather everything when another guest arrives.

Sounds like you have covered all the basics. How about putting some int resting personal items like pictures of prized antiques that are int resting to look at but are not easily broken. Nice warm bathrobes for them to use are nice. An Afghan to use as a cover while reading or watching tv would be a good touch. Just some homey things to have around.

Pick a theme-- like zen serenity or antiques, or if it is used for primarily family put family photos in there. Since I have two guest rooms, one is decorated with inter generational photos and memorabilia and the other is more for kids, a futon, TV, video games and just funky decorating--I am painting large overlapping modern art type circles on the walls within my general house color scheme.

You need some crap!

Go to a local fair, or something, but something you don't need and put it on your desk.

I bought a wooden alligator about 15 inches long for 12 bucks, made in Africa. sits on my puter.

I am looking for some ceramic chickens or cows maybe both. I am constantly looking at antiques- however crappy, knick knacks and the like. All this stuff I have is crap, but my place has a lot of personality and I love explaning to people how on earth I got these interesting items.

Interesting magazines, fresh flowers, some really soft "touchy feely" textiles (a throw, small designer pillows on the bed), a big fluffy terrycloth robe to wear when they get out of the shower.

not truly worried, yet because it replaced into both one among our first dates, it replaced into type of shy and exciting at the same time. We went to a movie and held fingers, and through the acceptable of the picture our fingers were soaked with sweat. We shared a kiss contained in the backseat of my mom's vehicle going abode, and at the same time as it replaced into somewhat clumsy, it replaced into fairly passionate, and steamed up the abode windows.
