Depends on the kind of turtle, but I say vegetables and that turtle food from the pet store is a good start. Maybe feeder fish too but sometimes they are diseased and can hurt the turtle later

My son used to have a turtle farm. We had 15 turtles. I fed the turtles dark green veggies, corn on the cob, carrots, apples, and for a real treat raw chicken. You need to give them a variety of vegtables in their diet. The dark green veggies are important. Give them things like raw spinach, brocolli, cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, mellon, carrots, etc. They are attracted to bright colors so the tomatoes and the corn are big hits. You should not have to feed them but just a small portion every day. Once a week I would give them a bit of raw chicken. They need the protien. If you want you can get the dried crickets to feed them too. DONT feed them iceberg lettuce. It has little nutritional value in it. They need the nutrition found in the other dark veggies.

Good luck and have fun. Don't forget that they need lots of fresh water. You will need to have a shallow dish that they can walk in to drink and bathe. You will need to change the water every day.

I feed my turtle dark greens, tomatoes, mashed carrots, romaine lettuce, whatever else is in the fridge-lol. Pet stores sell crickets and worms for turtles, I haven't invested in any because it creeps me out but I'm sure your turtle will enjoy them.

The best answer will come when you know what kind of turtle you have. Go to turtletimes.com and post a picture of your turtle to have it identified and then you can find the proper diet.

Depends the turtle, for sure no iceberg lettuce, it can eat a truck load and still starve. Most turtles like earthworms.

if you have a land turtle you feed it lettuce, strawberries, dandelions, any kind of fruit or veggie but less fruit(it makes them congested)you might wanna feed it some meat too

if you have water turtles then feed it worms,non-poison bugs ,sun-dried or freeze-dried mealworms, shrimp, and krill .they also like turtle pellets

Is this an aquatic turtle or is it a tortoise? Big difference on what you feed it.
