When it comes to "wounded love" hate is more a result of wounded pride. When you love someone, you expect them to love you back. All to often love is not returned in the way we think we deserve to be loved. When the relationship is over that person leaves you with an emptiness, a void that they used to fill. But many times when 'love ends' it also leave you feeling like a fool. That is the wound.

Possibly. If a man or woman is in a relationship and it ends badly that person may end up hating the opposite sex. Or even in other types of relationships. People that have bad relationships with there mother/father or other family members tend to lash out at other people.

Hating is taking the easy way out and very often is the result of self-loathing. Dump the baggage. Forgive yourself. Love yourself. Heal yourself. Every encounter is a new beginning.

I've always thought that hate is the exact opposite of love. I truely believe that to hate someone you had to love them first.
