i know a girl in south dakota who wants to come to michigan to see me, but she has no money or a ride.

when you say "girl" I hope you're not talking about a minor. If she is under 18 - FORGET IT -- otherwise, if you want to get her to Michigan - provide the transportation.

Have her ride with a truck driver. Most of them are good people that wouldn't mind the company. She might want to ride with a female driver though, truckers are lonely people you know. Hope I have been helpful.
