It means she's not in love with you.

When anyone says they love you but are not in love with you, that means they care about you in that they don't want you to get sick or die, but that's as deep as it goes. This will not make a person happy, and you are better off without it. If she cheated on you once, you cannot trust her because the first time is the hardest...it'll be easier next time. I say EXIT. I am 47, for the record.

It's a nice way of saying she's still fond of you, but she's now in love with someone else. It's one of those well-used lines to make the break-up easier on her in my opinion. She obviously knew you were in the services before you were deployed so she has no excuse. Everyone knows those in the services can get called up at any time - if she didn't want the possibility of you going away she never should of dated you. It's her fault, not yours.

cheating is a common 'side effect' of deployments - but it happens on both sides.
the i love you i'm not in love with you is a cop out tho. she might feel guilty and not want to hurt you worse by telling more of the truth.
go ahead and file nessecary paperwork if you dont think you two can work it out.

Looks to me like she's looking for an excuse to explain the utter bullshit of the situation. She should of come front and tell you about it.Dont let the actions of one foolish gal sour you on other women, there are still a lot of honourable ones out there.Keep the faith.

Anyone came love someone. I love my parents, but I'm not IN LOVE with them. She loves you in a friendship sort of way, but she's not in love with you romantically.
Basically, it's a cop-out to excuse her sorry self for cheating on you. I'm sorry you had to deal with that while you were overseas protecting our country. Thank you for your service. I appreciate what you've done. Now, find yourself a new woman who will appreciate the man you are! : )

Hey partner I really feel for you and wish you the best. If you don't have any kids in the relationship, cut your losses and get the hell out of that one. Here you were defending your country and she had to go and cheat, that's simply WRONG. having been there in 91, I am so grateful I had a supportive spouse who DIDN'T cheat. My best to you and thanks for doing your good deed in our armed forces.
My best !!

I'm sorry that this happened to you! If she couldn't wait long enough for you, especially during a time like that, than she needs to go! The one time in your life you truly needed her to be there for you, stick by you in every way a spouse should, then to go and do that ****. You need to let her go. You deserve better. Good luck! :)

It hurts now, but you have to go on without her, there is someone out there for you, just don't look too hard. Military life is hard on a marriage, so you have to find someone with morals, and who believes in the bond of marriage.
