If i produce a song in the US that i copied from an artist in another country, would i get in trouble?

You are allowed to copy anyone's song, you just have to pay royalties. And, yes, copyright laws are international, per se.

Yes, you can be sued internationally. I had a friend do just that when were royalties were being stolen. Once the song is copyrighted, it's copyrighted internationally. Besides, why would you steal someone else's work for you own? That's pretty dishonest.

Remember a group called Milli Vanilli? Unless you give credit to the actual artist I don't know that you could get into trouble as with copywrite type actions, that is if the songs were not copywrited but it one day could and most likely would catch up with you.

Depends on the copyrights law of the country, from which the artist you got the song from is located. Also, depends on where you acquired it. Best to contact the rep of the artist, else, international patent attorney.

i do not see why you would get in to trouble but i would for your end to get permission from the artist or record company since it is alreally copyright from the other country ok good luck my friend

yes you can. Its not your song, so its stealing, and its worse if you steal from another country because thats two federal crimes.
