i mean these are people who for some reason something happened that neither one talks to one another for maybe 3 or 5 years and finally one day you or they decide that it is not worth the isolation

I think that's a great thing to do. You should get in contact with these people because tomorrow is never guaranteed and they may not be here tomorrow.

when my parents divorced after 26yrs of marraige i didnt talk to my dad for 3yrs he moved out of town and was remarried to someone he met over internet. When i was younger i was always daddys girl, and after 3yrs of not seeing or talking to him i knew id have to be the one to make a move and contact him
