I think this a Japanese saying. But I only think that because I have only seen this referenced in Anime.

if your ears are burning someone is talking about you. if you drop a knife a man is coming to visit. if your left hand itches you are giving money..or it is your right hand you are recieving money. if your eye twitches..you are going to be mad..or cry over something. good old wives tales.
