That is normal. Think about all the stories you have herd about how had delivery was. When I was pregnant what I herd scared the you know what out of me. Yeah It hurt but it was worth it. Well guys talk to and he could be scared give him a break, and talk to him tell him how scared you are and tell him how you feel. That great but some times painfull feeling when the baby moves. You have to remember also one day soon he has to share you and that can be very stressful for him.

My Husband was exactly the same, but sitting with me know he says its just really unnerving to see you like that. Don't worry about it is my advise. My husband loves our little girl more than the world and says he felt really detatched untill she was born even though he always wanted her, i think men feel that its not really happening to them. When we are pregnant we feel things twice as hard and after your pregnancy you will feel totally better and understand how he feels. I felt that my husband was being selfish because even though i was scared of what was going on I didn't have a choice, but now i feel that i was the lucky one and he missed out by not feeling all the wonderful thing that i did!

Like the 1st person said, he's probably just needs time to adjust. I would encourage him to touch it, to talk to the baby...to show him that it's okay and that he won't be hurting your or something like that. I wouldn't get THAT upset about it either, if you are upset, it's probably the whacked hormones. It's a big adjustment for everyone, it probably just takes more time for some to adjust than others

Aww! That's kinda cute. Anyway, I think it is a natural reaction, because he doesn't know what to expect, he might think he'll hurt it, if he presses too hard.
And you shouldn't be upset about it. Just tell him that he should feel it, because it is his baby, and there is nothing to be afraid of, and that one little touch isn't going to hurt the baby.

I have the same problem..I think that he's just uncomfortable with the idea of it. It used to really bug me but I don't want to push him because I know it is hard on him too. You should talk with him so he knows how you feel. He might be scared to hurt you or the baby. lol guys are good for irrational fears they just show them in a different way. Good luck to you

Mu husband was never in it either. It is really not an indication on excitement or what kind of father he will be. Bottom line is, you can't make someone feel a certain way that makes you happy. Different people just experience things differently.

I am also pregant, my husband is always touching my belly, you can assure your boyfriend that it will not hurt baby, cause maybe that is what he is afraid of. or you could just ask him.
