How can I swim if I have my period, I use pads?

I want to go swimming but I know I cant because I use pads and I have my period right now, any suggestions.

There is no way you can swim on your period and use sanitary pads. That is the same as putting a baby in diapers in the pool.

So I could swim I had to do and learn to use tampons.

Pads are always more unhygienic than tampons.

So you should just start to wear tampons. They were made for female swimmers actually.

I would recomment you to always use tampons. Pads always have an odor. Tampons give you the impression of being clean, as if nothing was.

Before you get into the water take off your pad (if it's not heavy) then as soon as you get out go immediately to the bathroom. I've done that before and it worked the water will make you stop while you're in it. I would only do this in a lake or something not a pool.

use tampons. the first time using them is a little weird and hard to get used to it, but you do. once i started using them, i never went back to using pads. good luck honey!

Use some sort of internal protection. It doesn't have to be a tampon. It could be a DivaCup or something similar.

use a tampon this will help, just make sure the string is hiding and not hanging out of the bathing suit

Ardy415 is just NASTY, think of the other people that are in the pool with you. TAMPONS are the only way to go.

if you wont to swim you have to use a tampon.. then when you done swimming use a tampon.
