History is confirmed through written documentation, sometimes with physical evidence (artifacts) to back it up. That in turn means that what we know as history may not be completely accurate. Truth is only as good as its source and everyone sees things differently. What one person saw from one angle may have looked totally different to someone else standing in a different location.

Therefore, when doing historical research, one must be extremely cautious when judging sources. A good historian never relies solely on one source but should take as many sources as possible into consideration, and even then there's a possibility that the information would still be wrong.

One thing that I've learned in doing research, you can never ever be 100% sure of historical fact, especially with details.....

History can be confirmed by reasearch and study. What we today call history is often rewritten or changed to suit modern sensabilities. You cannot go by what you are told and what you hear you must make up your own mind.

History is confirmed by proof...or evidence...whatever you want to call it...without it...you can't prove if it's history or not...
