It depends on your local requirements and what you want upgraded.
Do you just need your meter and main breaker box outside upgraded?
Do you need the breaker box upgraded?
How many circuits are in the old box?
What is the amperage of the service you have now?
What amperage do you want to upgrade to?
What are the utility requirements?
Are there several old fuse boxes that need to be combined into the new breaker box?
What is the distance from the meter/main outside to the breaker box?
I recommend looking in your local yellow pages and calling at least 3 electric contractors and get estimates for the work you need completed. Most electrical contractors offer free estimates; we do.
