I think your best bet is to call the hospital and ask to speak with a nurse, there should be one there who is able to talk to you. Better safe than sorry!

I did that once. If you scratch to much on a mosquitoes bite it can grow, and be white outline in red same thing with a June bug bit. put some calamine on it. If it has been there for two days in one spot you should be fine. All so let her sleep with you tonight. She could have a bug in her bed. That is common with young children. Giver her some bendgryl to fight off any allergic symptoms.

Do NOT go to the ER unless there is an emergency. An insect bite that itches is not an emergency unless she is having breathing problems or a rash/swelling develops around it. ERs are necessary for LIFE-THREATENING problems.
Give her a baby aspirin and call the doc on the morning. Good Luck !

Sounds very much like a spider bite. ER is probably your only option unless your doctor left an on call number. You could also call the hospital and ask for a nurse, they can let you know what to do.

sound like ringworm to me-i don't think an er trip would be necessary.

try putting bendaryl cream on the bite or you can give her oral benadryl for kids-it will make her sleepy but will stop the itching. you can also try children's motrin to help with any pain or swelling she might be having.

things that would warrent an er visit are-if the red area splits the skin and causes an open sore and is draining or oozing or if she suddenly develops a fever.

ringworm is common in kids and is highly contagious-you will sometimes find it in other places of the body as well

here is a link to look more into it so you can compare the pictures to your daughter's arm...

If it's already been there for 2 days & hasn't been a problem I would call the dr. Wed. & see if you can get in then. I'd watch her for swelling or any red lines creeping away from it.Those things would = ER.

Sounds like ringworm, its very contagious, so to be safe I would take her to the ER, its a holiday night, so they probably aren't very busy, I work in a hospital, either way let us know what you find out. Good Luck

If there is no red line leading from it to her heart, I would imagine it's not a big deal. Tell her not to scratch, and check on it tomorrow. Maybe give her an antihistamine for the itching.

Do you have a minor emergency clinic anywhere? They accept insurance and offer a wide variety of services. It kinda sounds like ringworm, but thats just going off your description. Good luck.

It sounds like ringworm. I can't say for sure without seeing it, though. Call your Doctor's office; there'll be someone on call to answer questions for you. Give her some Benedryl for the itching and keep it clean. Wednesday should be fine.
