I was thinking the same thing myself...but now I just think he is evil I have read book 6, 3 times now, he has hatred on his face when he kills Dumbledore....but then he did make the unbreakable vow...I really dont know!! there are alot of references to Snapes evil side and how he called himself the half blood prince (re named him self like voldemorte) etc. I reckon he is evil. And that Harry will get him.

Sorry, if he was good he would have sacrifices his own life for Dumbledore. Also notice that the book states that even Fenir Greyback (the werewolf, name could be wrong) cowered when Snape came to Malfoy

there isn't really a good and bad in black in white in harry potter not entirely. it's like life today, do you think your good or do you think your bad. snape goes back and forth through the book. he does what he think is best in life, just like us. we do some pretty good deeds and we do some pretty bad deeds. he helps voldermort out just as he helps harry out. he is in the grey area.

Its iffy. He didnt seem hesitant to kill voldemort, even though he had to bec he made the vow. but he only mad the vow to protect malfoy, not to kill dumbledore, so i dunno.
