If anybody remembers Rivaldo, he and Ronaldo made an incredible team. His long passed to Ronaldo were exactly on target and he was an excellent support man for Ronaldo. Even before Ronaldo played, Rivaldo played a large part in the Brazillian successes of '94 and '02. His retirement made it hard for any coach to replace him, to this day.

That was last time..Rivaldo, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos made a great team in the last world cup. But that was then and now is now.
Those players are getting older and now it's time for the younger players to perform. It was a pity that they didn't play better this worldcup. Especially Ronaldhinio...That was really a blast

The problem brazil was doing during the game is passing it to ronaldo cause france knew clearly tha they were going to pass it to ronaldo .

It is possible though, as one of your early answerer said, other teams has a great Defence formation eg. France. who could forget Rivaldo.? he was one of the great players of Brazil
