from what i remember, he was changing a tire, and somebody drove by and shot him

A two-legged animal from one of the former Soviet republics had confessed, but it triggers my memory that he was ratted out by a comrade, and when confronted he confessed to murdering Ennis, a wonderful, innocent human being. The motive was robbery.
