Melbourne is very cuturally diverse, but I have seen rascism alot in particular areas of Metropolitan Melbourne.

I try not to venture out to regional areas cos it infuriates me to see it.
I live in a predominantly Anglo area and the chemist down the road hired a Muslim beautician cos she's good at her job. 80% of the customer base left cos they didn't want a "girl with a scarf" touching them. They said "Who hired her? Doesn't anyone realise what suburb this is???" Ignorant rascist snobs.

In the city, everyone is cool. Broadmeadows and Coburg has heaps of Turkish and Lebanese Muslims.
More recently I've been seeing many Muslim girls in the workforce and at Uni which is good.
I reckon they tend to stick to their community for the exact reason I gave you an example of. There aren't many Muslims around my area. I think there is alot more integration to be done.

What's with all the Aussie Questions Today! We must be having a tourist promotion running.

Muslims here in the main integrate very well. We are a multi-cultural place and all races and creeds are tolerated well.

Good on Ya mate! Have a good day, come visit some time and chuck a shrimp on the Barbie.

Australia is multicultural and there are Muslims here of course. Terrorists have given them a bad name as is the world over sadly.
