I have a slight case of scoliosis... my bottom left rib cage sticks out farther than my right. Is there anything to correct this or straighten out my spine (any exercises). No surgery or braces.

I have a similar problem. Here's a simple stretch that my doctor recommended:

Stand in front of an open door, about 3 feet back, your feet shoulder width apart. Grab the door knob (one hand on each side). While grasping the door knob firmly, slowly lean back (as if you are going to sit down) but keep your legs straight. Be sure not to bend your knees or else you won't be stretching the spine.

Hold for a few seconds then come back up. Repeat 5 times about 3 times a day.

I find it really works for me. Hope it helps you too!

All I can offer you is advice and encouragement.
At the age of 16 I ruptured 3 cartilage discs in my sacroliliac (whatever).
It was very painful and I walked 'funny'.
I went to a chiropractor who did a lot of twisting, pushing and pulling etc. which didn't seem to help but over the next year things began to get better about the time I went to an orthopedist.
Within two years it was as if I never had a problem.
Perhaps it was just straightening itself out, I'll never know.
I'm not recommending anything drastic, just ask your primary care physician about an orthopedist.
As an aside, when I first went to the chiropractor he made some adjustments by quickly twisting my head, snapping my neck.
I told him, "Doctor, if you ever do that again, I'll kill you."
He chuckled.
I repeated, very coldly, "I'm not kidding, if you ever do that again, I will kill you."
He didn't do it again.

Yoga is great for stuff like this but honestly you need to get your doctors opinion before doing any of this. And there are ways to work out your spine and get better posture, I had a slight curve when I was younger and did all sorts of exercises. Good luck.

The best thing I know of (I have scoliosis too) is a very comprehensive guide to back care called "Overcome Neck and Back Pain" by Kit Laughlin. He takes you through a series of mild stretching exercises designed to stretch your spinal muscles and relieve pressure. He combines several disciplines including chiropractic, yoga, shiatsu, and more. Getting a perfectly straight back is probably not possible, but you will feel great after doing these exercises. Hi there,
Sciatica is a pain that results from irritation of one of sciatic nerves. This is a lower back pain that goes down to hip and then to both legs extending to feet and toes in some cases. Sciatica nerve is the largest nerve in our body. Running down the spine through the hip, sciatic nerve goes down to knee and ankle. Any damage or pressure on this nerve results in debilitating sciatica pain that needs thorough investigation of probable causes on the basis of symptoms to provide relief to the patient on a permanent basis.

lay on your back bring 1 leg up to your chest, and hold for the count of 5. Then put it down, and do the same with the other leg.
Do this 5 times each. Then bring both legs up together and hold to the count of 5, do this 5 times. Also. Works great for me, after whiplash.
Chiropractor taught me this.

Yoga is very very helpful. It may not be the answer, but it will help.
