There is no detailed map of the moon, Mars, Iapetus, for the simple reason that the information contained within these simple, honest maps would present a severe challenge to current paradigms. If the location of the glass domes, the glass towers on the moon, if the Sidonia site on Mars were given its due, and if the absolutely astonishing realities of Iapetus were shown upon a simple map, well, all the prehistoric mumblings of the different sects would have to be put to shame and silence, then, what would the heart people do? (Heart people are the 2nd way, the way of faith and belief?) Now, I believe the 2nd way would overcome this truth, in the same way that they have overcome other truths, either by dismissing this out-of-hand, or by being forced to achieve an even more elaborate and gloriously fanciful creationist tale of beginnings. But, that's just me. UC Steve

There have been detailed maps and photographs of the Moon available from anywhere that sells telescopes, and in most bookstores, for decades.

Why are they not on the Internet? Because they are very large to download. Below is a link to one you can order on Amazon.

Really, just because some fool puts up a website does not make it fact.

The reason there are no images like Google images of Earth is that there are no permanent satellites orbiting the Moon taking pictures.

Edit: Wow, we start with a conspiracy theory, and now we get a new ager in UC Steve. Is stupidity *really* that widespread these days?

2nd Edit: "detailed maps are need to see any potetianlly artificial stuff on the moon" - No, detailed *photographs* would be needed for that, since a map is just a drawing, and anyone could draw what they wanted. If you expect people to give your ridiculous theory any credence, then learn the difference between a map and a photograph. Oh, and while you're at it, learn how to spell and form complete sentences.

Well since about the only people that land on the moon don't stray too far away from the landing site, I suppose they really don't need one. Or it could be the fact that since there isn't really good vacation spots up there yet, there is no need for a map. But then again, men don't get lost when we drive, we don't need no maps! ( pun intended ). I will tell you what they are hiding. About $50'000'000'000 every time they want to go up there to get another worthless rock to bring back. Whether or not there was ever life there means nothing. No one lives there now, so it is irrelevant. I would rather spend tax dollars on feeding the hungry, clothing the children, etc.....

I agree with the poster who says you should just buy a telescope and make your own map. The moon is only a few hundred thousand miles away. Get a high quality camera and telescope and do it.

Where do people come up with this crap. You can find a myriad of highly detailed moon maps on the internet. If that doesn't satisfy you, buy yourself a good telescope and make your own.

Get a life.

Thanks for the two points.

how about http://moon.google.com/ or http://www.lunarrepublic.com/atlas/index.shtml?
