I can remember back when HHH came to WWE. Please read this article:1995-1996
As a continuation of his gimmick in WCW, Triple H started off his WWF career as the Connecticut Blueblood, Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He appeared in taped vignettes talking about proper etiquette up until his wrestling debut. Although he had an impressive streak during the first few months within his debut, his career stalled during 1996, starting off with being squashed by Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania XII. Up until that event, he appeared on television each week with a different female valet accompanying him. Sable was his valet at WrestleMania XII, and after his loss to Ultimate Warrior, he took his aggressions out on her. The debuting Marc Mero came to her rescue and this started a program between the two wrestlers.
He was polite and very proper. THAT was when he looked silly. He goes good with DX,but he is like a tame tiger, expect him to turn on someone at any time. Check the link below for his wrestling history.

The problem is that these guys were not really the DX everybody loved. There was a guy names "X-Pac" that did the "X" symbol who was cocky and you believed him when he did. There was Kevin Nash, a giant of a man and perhaps the real heart of DX along with his partner, the guy perhaps most hated/loved in the group Scott Hall. Triple H was mostly just an enforcer and Shawn Michaels was just a cocky punk. They were important members, but Hall and Nash were the people everyone first thought of when thinking of DX.. DX with Hall and Nash is like (using another old school reference) the 4 Horsemen without Arn Anderson and Rick Flair.
So, your brother was right..they were FUNNY... but you knew that the #$%^& Scott Hall, Nash, and X-Pac had their back which made them intimidating too. Now its just a bit lame.

I love it. I only hope before they end the DX thing again we can see two more members return while another great group reunite to have a feud with DX to decide the greatest group of all time. The other group I am talking about is the Four Horsemen.

I think both he and Shawn Michaels are a little too old for this storyline, and this is coming from someone in her 30's. DX had it time and that time has passed. Why tarnish the memory of something that was so great in its day by rehashing it?
