Classic question--I love it! OK, to Europeans who control FIFA, da black man scares them. The Asians...wow, that's a wide net and includes "orientals" really...I guess you mean South Asians as Asian could mean someone from Turkey to the Flippypeens.
Hey, look at any mascot...aren't they usually animals or some type of creature that is not human let alone Caucasian?
My guess is making a black dude a mascot would probably be racist. I mean, do you see Sambo anymore out there? Maybe Aunt Jemima still lives but woo, she's pretty outdated too.

Do you mean the children who walk out holding the players hands? They are probably German since the WC is there.. but I know for a fact that there were kids flown in from all over the world to do it to, since some children made it from the MiddleEast, I read it in the paper.

b/c it's usually the europeans and the latin americas that's really into the games. Africa and Asia just got started even though soccer was ORIGINATED from China.
