Yes. I do that whenever I have the time.
It's okay to keep in touch with people from our past, especially if they have become our good friends.
Just don't send them mixed signals. Contact them to let them know they are being remembered and NOT because you want to have a relationship with them again.
Try it. You're gonna brighten someone else's day.

I have wondered where someone from my past was and yes I have contacted them. It was nice for awhile..but usually did not work out..

yes and yes...i've wondered and tried to find them, and found a few. all of them are so thrilled to catch up with me, but only a precious few keep up the contact.
